Option N.V. , the wireless technology company, recently unveiled GlobeSurfer X.1, a new product that transforms any USB wireless modem into an instant Internet-connected WiFi network capable of supporting multiple users.

With its smooth lines and small footprint, the stylish GlobeSurfer X.1 has applications at home, in the office, or anywhere there is a need for people to share information, to work together or to share printers, storage and back-up devices.

The local WiFi network can be connected to the Internet by simply plugging a 3G/HSPA USB wireless modem into the GlobeSurfer X.1. An additional USB port offers additional high-end local wireless networking functionality such as Print Server or File Server connectivity. This truly plug 'n' play device enables all family members to share a printer or access content from a media server while enjoying a mobile broadband connection to the Internet.

The GlobeSurfer X.1 wireless router can be seen on the Option stand in Hall 1, stand 1C 43 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona .
